Overview
Our Custom High-Precision Overmolding Mould Tooling is engineered for multi-material and multi-shot production where exact fit, strong bond lines and flawless surface quality matter. Designed for applications ranging from consumer electronics and automotive housings to medical devices and industrial components, these molds support 2-K/3-K, insert molding, overmolding of soft TPE/TPU onto rigid substrates (ABS, PC, POM, Nylon, PMMA, PE), and integrated overmolded seals and grips. Each tool is optimized for balanced filling, controlled temperatures and repeatable part quality across high-volume runs.

Key Advantages
- True multi-material capability: Engineered for robust bonding and controlled overmold interfaces (rigid → soft) with minimal flash and consistent peel strength.
- Optimized thermal management: Conformal and drilled cooling, thermal isolation and balanced cavity heating for repeatable cycle times and low warpage.
- Fine cosmetic control: Mirror polish and precision gate strategies produce blemish-free visible faces for consumer-grade finish.
- High dimensional accuracy: Tight tolerances and precision cavity machining ensure snap fits, seals and assembly features meet design intent.
- Flexible production architectures: Supports 2K/3K, insert molding and family molds to match volume and assembly needs, reducing downstream assembly cost.
- Long tool life & low maintenance: Hardened steels, nitriding and protective coatings extend service life in abrasive or filled polymers.
Surface Treatment Options
- Mirror Polishing (SPI A1) — high-gloss, cosmetic surfaces.
- Texturing (MT / SPI) — matte/grip finishes and anti-fingerprint textures.
- Nitriding / Hardening — improved surface hardness and wear resistance.
- PVD / TiN Coatings — reduce polymer adhesion, improve release and durability.
- Hard Chrome Plating — abrasion resistance for high-shot tooling.
- Passivation & Corrosion Protection — for long-term stability in humid molding environments.
Quality Assurance
We apply a rigorous QA program across design, machining and validation: DFM and Moldflow simulation precede machining; dimensional control uses ZEISS CMM and 3-D laser scanning; surface roughness and polish are verified with profilometers. Each tool completes controlled trial runs on customer-spec presses; parts undergo FAI including dimensional reports, bond/peel testing for overmold interfaces, visual cosmetic checks and cycle-life sampling. All documentation (process parameters, material traceability, inspection reports) is delivered per ISO requirements.
Our Factory
Our dedicated tooling workshop houses advanced 5-axis CNC centers, high-speed mills, mirror EDM and wire EDM lines, precision grinders, and robotic polishing stations. We maintain climate-controlled polishing rooms and pilot molding rigs with hot-runner and 2K presses for in-house trial runs. CAD/CAM/CAE workstations handle complete mold design, thermal and flow simulation, and automated NC programming. Supported by an experienced tooling team, robotic finishing and a full service QA lab, we provide turnkey mold solutions — from prototype to validated production tooling.
